Desire, tenderness and lightheartedness bring together a myriad of styles in Kevin Barber's first solo effort, BURN.

Part Rockabilly, part Jazz, part Roots Rock, this easy listening album can turn the hardest hearts soft and the coolest hands hot. Burn is a real sounding record made by real musicians.

At the records core is Kevin's guitar led trio. Thick with finger picking, memorable horn like melodies and the classic clean tones of his big body guitars, Kevin evokes the train of Johnny Cash, the cool of Miles Davis and the playfulness of Chet Atkins. It's a tight, hooky adult contemporary album appealing to jazz, pop, roots and country fans alike.

The album was recorded at Big Timbre Studio in Eugene, OR by Jason Robbins (engineer and production credits include Buck Owens, Dwight Yoakam and Michelle Shocked), features Dennis Caiazza (Nu Shooz) on bass and Matthew Higgins (Aaron Watson) on drums and was mastered by Dave Collins at Collins Audio in Los Angeles.

BURN is a light speed ride on a space ship, the giddiness of holding hands, the burning desire of a heart unattainable and the ever lasting chance for a happy ending.

This is the album to float away on a hundred beautiful notes or keep playing hour after hour as the sound track for your day.
