Bio
Kevin Barber was born and raised in the heat and fog of the, Big Valley of central California and moved along to live and play in Los Angeles, New York, Nashville, San Francisco, Portland, OR and Las Vegas.

Influenced by an eclectic mix of music from labels like Sun, Stax, Atlantic, RCA, Blue Note, King, Capitol, Chess and K-Tel, Kevin developed a vintage and warm tone.  His big body guitars, finger picking, blues lines, soul chords and jazz progressions create a Roots/Americana sound all his own.

His music has been played on college, fm, am and internet radio stations world-wide, including world famous KROQ in Los Angeles, used in radio commercials and independent films, has appeared with national acts Fishbone, Tammy Diddley (Bo's daughter) and swapped stories with Elvis Presley guitarists, Scotty Moore and James Burton.

Other highlights include recording at the legendary Sun Studio in Memphis TN (story here), appearances and headlines at the Coconut Teaser on the Sunset Strip in Hollywood, CA, on Nashville's Broadway, the Thunderbird Lounge on the Las Vegas Strip, the Oregon Convention Center, the Historic Columbia Gorge Hotel in Hood River, OR and held residencies at Maryhill Winery in Goldendale, WA, throughout the McMenamins empire, and MacTarnahan's Taproom in Portland, OR.

A twenty-year player and student of Telecaster virtuoso & The Little Willies (fronted by Norah Jones) guitarist, Jim Campilongo, and guitar legend, Bill Harkleroad (Zoot Horn Rollo of Captain Beefheart), he continues to search out and find the right note for the right time.
